The Heart Of Nyungwe
Found, Not Fabricated
A destination that has grown from its setting rather than being placed on it. The forest, the tea estate and the culture of Gisakura were born here, and remain.
A Landscape of Discovery
In Rwanda's western highlands sits Nyungwe Tea Forest Resort. A Rare Finds destination defined by ancient forest, living tea landscape and a culture that inspires every itinerary. Here, the place is the experience.
A forest that predates the roads
We are located within a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, recognised in 2023. Nyungwe National Park is home to 13 primate species, whose communities were here long before Rwanda's borders were drawn.
Held up by each other
Our team works closely with the Nyungwe Cultural Village Cooperative, whose harvesters pick the tea on our estate. The estate sustains the community. The community sustains the estate.
